  3. One use of User Help files would be to 
  4. provide footnote information for various 
  5. passages.

  7. Of course, if most passages do not have
  8. notes, an "ordinary" hypertext reference,
  9. using a second file, the same file, or a 
  10. Glossary file, would work just as well.
  11.  
  12. But, if you're preparing an "annotated"
  13. work, where every passage, by definition,
  14. is to be accompanied by copious notes, 
  15. the User_Help_File may be just the ticket. 
  16.
